EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dr. Sarah Kranz-Ciment, PT, DPT, MA, is a dedicated physical therapist and a 15-year advocate for disability inclusion. As the founder and Executive Director of Friendship Circle of Virginia, she cultivates an inclusive community. Sarah serves on the Virginia State Board for People with Disabilities and the Disability Board for Jewish Federations of North America. A native of Richmond, VA, Dr. Kranz-Ciments’ background is in early childhood education. She graduated summa cum laude with her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Touro College, New York. She resides in Richmond, VA, with her husband and five children.

My name is Jtaijah Akins, and I am currently serving as a Registered Behavior Technician, Clinical Administrator and Trainer here at New Patterns ABA. I began my career in Applied Behavior Analysis after graduating from Virginia Tech in 2021. Since then, I have dedicated myself to this field, working with children ages 1-16 in home, clinic, and school settings. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis at Mary Baldwin University with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My journey in ABA has been incredibly fulfilling, and I am committed to continuing my professional growth and making a positive impact on the lives of the children and families I work with.

My name is Miriam Herzog, and I am the Administrative Director at New Patterns ABA. With eight years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I am passionate about supporting families of children with autism. Over the years, I have successfully coordinated services for hundreds of families, while also working closely with providers to ensure they have the resources and guidance needed to deliver high-quality care. My focus is on fostering positive change and providing both families and providers with the tools to thrive. I am dedicated to helping children and their families make meaningful progress, driven by compassion and commitment.
